Macaw palm - Acrocomia aculeata

Acrocomia aculeata is a palm tree species native to the Americas, from northern Argentina to Paraguay and all the way up to southern Mexico and the Caribbean . Common names include Grugru Palm, Macaúba Palm, Coyol Palm, and Macaw Palm;  scientific names synonyms include A. lasiospatha, A. sclerocarpa, A. totai, and A. vinifera.  These images were taken in a botanical garden in Málaga, Spain.
